Great answer - while I believe there is some greater force (not a god specifically, but a degree of order to the evolution of the universe) - I appreciate your logic as to the crossing off of items on the list caused by god. Alos, please let me add that when I say greater force, I mean some logic/order greater than the human mind can currently comprehend - like the fact that all land mammals are quadrapeds or bipeds with two eyes, two ears, one heart, etc and that mammals all developed under certain conditions at certain times, dinosaurs at another, etc. Creationism would place them all on earth at the same time... which would probably drop us back down the food chain a bit! I also believe that there is other life on other planets and while I do not believe that it is necessarily close by (in relative terms) or that it has visit us, or even that we may get to visit it or communicate with it in my lifetime, I am willing to bet that on planets with conditons much the same as our own (oxygen, nitrogen and carbon base), it will have developed in similar ways and attained similar forms to our own.
Thanks for your comment. Whether or not I believe that assuming that a force is inherently 'beyond our comprehension' is dangerous is irrelevant, it appears that you have personally put a lot of thought into what you believe and that's all I can ask from anyone.

Homecoming

Haven't had time to post here for a while. How much have I said that? Wow, busy, or lazy, whatever...just wanted to say that I have a date to homecoming, she actually asked me because I had assumed it was too late since homecoming's in a week, but guess not.

So I'm really enjoying this weekend cause my whole family's gone to my brother and sister's soccer tournments, I love just being by myself sometimes, I can really focus on my homework and stuff better. I had Wingzone last night, no siblings to complain about the spiciness level, I had it all to myself which was sweet. Plus I get to do my homework naked which is sweet. When I grow up I want to go to a nudist resort or something. It's so natural and there's nothing sexual or 'dirty' about it, just liberation and freedom. It would be great not to have to think about washing clothes, buying clothes, which clothes to wear in the morning, and I think most people would agree. Why does our society try to cover up nudity everywhere? Why are some parts 'private' and some aren't? Plenty of cultures go naked or mostly naked and don't have anymore pedophilia or rape than we do, in fact I think that going naked could provide a slow constant release of sexual tension rather than it constantly building up and releasing in a violent outburst. Didn't God create us naked?

We have been trained to be afraid of our bodies. If you have never walked around your house naked, I highly recommend you try it sometime. Are you one of the people who thinks nudity is somehow 'immoral'? Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Cookie...you have a pretty good blog when you post. Is there any reasons for the lack of 'goodness' lately?
Yes. Sorry for the absence everyone but I've had several hours of homework every night and haven't had any time for blogging. I'll take a break from writing a 3-page essay on analyzing the tension between the outward conformity and inward questioning in the main character of Kate Chopin's The Awakening (1899) to write a few things.

Homecoming is in 2 weeks or so and I finally had decided to ask the girl that 2 of my female friends have been harping on me to ask to every dance since freshman year. I was going to do it Friday, and got my spirits up all week only to be shot down when informed by those 2 female friends that she was already going with some guy from her church. They begged my forgiveness and I said that I was going to spend labor day weekend depressed and sitting in my room listening to linkin park but in truth I was just slightly disappointed since now I probably won't be going to homecoming unless I can find someone else to go with.

I have the house to myself since my family is at 2 soccer tournaments in Omaha or something and won't be back until sunday night/monday morning. I hope my friends are doing something tonight cause I'll just get all depressed or something if I have to spend the whole time by myself. I've decided its not being alone or being with lots of people that makes me depressed sometimes, its the contrast between sudden changes to either extreme.
That's about all that's happening I guess.
